Graffiti

Graffiti

I think that graffiti will never be right or wrong, it will always be different.

Why do people do it? The people that do it for a bad cause are the people who often end up running from the police. They do it because they find that art is a great way to let their feelings go. They just do the wrong thing in the wrong place. Those artists who do not think will find a subway, wall, train etc. to paint. A person who does good graffiti will have been given permission to paint for a big presentation, a surprise etc.

What area is it in? I would definitely be agreeing graffiti is good if it was approved to be there and was legal in that area. I would be against graffiti if it was in an illegal area and was inappropriate. Where the painting takes place is an important key to good and bad graffiti. If it was in an obvious position or on private property without permission, I would totally be against graffiti. If it was on a wall dedicated to painting, it would be ok.

Is graffiti one and one thing only or a variety of things? According to many results, graffiti isn’t just one thing, there is many types, with the first one being tagging. Tagging is in one colour and the holds the taggers identification.
2: Throw up. Throw up is a more advanced tag with two or more colours in a 3D /bubbly-style lettering. It can be done quickly and continuously.
3: Blockbuster. Blockbuster a massive tag in block letters designed to cover a large area in short amounts of time. They can be done with rollers, making it quick and easy.
4: Wildstyle. Wildstyle is a detailed design of a Blockbuster and strangely hard to read. It regularly contains arrows, curves, spikes and things only known to graffiti artists.
5: Heaven. Heaven is a tag in an area that is extremely hard to get to. Artists that manage to get one completed, earn amounts of respect.
6: Stencil. Stencil is an easy and lazy way to paint detailed pieces. If you spray over a stencil, the piece will become neater and therefore more detailed. These are very repeatable.
7: Poster. Poster art is quick and easy. You can do it in private, giving you more time to paint without interruption.
8: Sticker. Sticker art is a small poster and just as easy to create.
9: Piece. Piece art is short for masterpiece art. Piece is painted free hand. This is done with three or more colours and it takes longer to paint. If it is in an obvious place it will gain respect for the artist as painting in an illegal place is a great risk.

When graffiti is done in a bad place, for a bad reason, it can be cast as a ‘mess’. If it is done in a good place, for a good reason, it will be cast as ‘art’. Personally I disagree because all paintings are done with a similar reason: for the love of art.
1. Tagging

Life as a Yr 7

My Life As A Yr 7
My life as a Yr 7 has been hard, juggling Dance 5 days a week, Choir 2 days a week, and Opera in between. I've been struggling to finish my homework, staying up really late to finish it, and sometimes I just can't. In between going to bed late and my cat waking me up at 3am, I have to get up at 6:30 every morning. Fixtures on Wednesdays are the worst. I have Opera day after day, mucking up my schedule. Here are the songs I am in.
